I was very pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. The writing is lush and engaging, the setting is luxurious and enchanting, the characters are vivid and extremely endearing. I found myself lost in the story and did not want to put it down, but at the same time I wanted to savor each scene and be transported to this gilded age of whimsy and glamor. I loved the story with the heist element, there’s tons of action and so much angst it hurt, the sense of humor had me chuckling to myself quite a few times, and the "found family" aspect of the characters just got me in the feels. I cannot recommend this more, anyone can find something to enjoy here, so do yourself a tremendous favor and read this wonderful book.
