Stunningly gorgeous writing and the beginnings of a whimsical story

This is my first Roshani Chokshi book and I have yet to read the synopsis, but almost from the beginning I was pulled into this book. The first impression, while not too short, left me wanting, no, NEEDING more. It flew by and I just wanted to keep learning about the world, and the characters. Every page brings up more and more questions, which has me turning the page over and over in order to learn and understand the world. The writing is stunningly gorgeous and the story feels so whimsical and fairytale-esque.
I’ll definitely be picking this one up and probably her other works too!
