This book has me in its thorny grasp from the prologue, intrigued by the cover but entangled from the story itself. The details are amazing, painting a picture...no making me feel as if I am standing with Laila wondering if Severin is in danger as she awaits his return with Enrique.

I really enjoy the idea of different houses ruling but what I love more is that the ring holds such power and they mark objects. Marking objects allows them to be tracked in case they are stolen...genius. The scene where Enrique was hidden in a Minotaur was hilarious and I know, seeing Severin even a small bit, that I am in for more treats. His sense of humor will make him a character I love to see.
