This book looks to be especially interesting for me, because I spent time in Germany as a military dependent in the early 1950s and I have a particular interest in the subject matter -- the prosecution of war crimes. The writing is good so far, though I find the occasional shifting of points of view somewhat off-putting -- alternating sections for the different characters would help. Regardless, the book so far does what a good novel should do, keeps me interested enough to want to keep reading, and I look forward to finishing the book when it becomes available. The main character, the young woman enlisted as an interpreter, is sympathetically drawn, and it will be interesting to see where the novel goes.
