While there are numerous novels about WWII that take place during the war, I've rarely come across books that talk about the aftermath and the trials as the world heard of the atrocities from witnesses who persevered. As a lawyer, I am really interested in the trial and the testimony that Eva is now tasked with translating. The writing is so atmospheric and engaging -- I am hooked!
