...but to "move on" and pretend that just because the war is over the damage no longer matters is a far greater injustice to the victims. My "first impression " of 'The German House ' is that it will be an intriguing look at a part of the Post-World War II era that got overlooked; Its aftermath on the next generation, and the generation of survivors who had to try to live with the unspeakable horrors the had been done in the name of their country and the levels of culpability to which they may or may not be entitled.
