My first impressions of The German House are a bit back and forth. On of side of the coin, I am intrigued about what will happen in this story and Eva's translation portion of the story was great, but on the flip side, I had issues with the characters presented to us. I didn't quite feel a connection to any of them, they didn't grab me initially. I would be interested to continue reading this to see if my opinion can be swayed in favor of the book.
