Set in post-WWII Germany at the very beginning of the first trials of defendants from Auschwitz who broke German law while running the concentration camp, this novel is intriguing from page 1. Already I can tell that this historical fiction novel has been well-researched and written in quite a diligent manner. The main character, Eva, lives with her family yet is hoping to be engaged soon to her wealthy boyfriend. Then she is chosen to be a translator for survivors of Auschwitz at the upcoming trial. Such an amazing start to obviously a heart-breaking yet important novel. I can't wait to read the entire book! Thanks for the chance at at ARC!!!
