I am so into WW2 fiction right now and this one is especially appealing to me because it looks different than a lot of the others out there. Don't get me wrong, they are great! But all a little too similar. This one interests me because I haven't read anything from the standpoint of a translator, but yet there's still the "good out winning the evil" plot, which I also love. The book starts out with a young girl, excited to be married, about to introduce him to her parents for the first time. There's obviously some tension or something going on with her mother. And there's something going on in the area causing break-ins and fires. It will be interesting to see where this goes!
