Interesting historical fiction romance.

The story begins with a young German woman, Eva, introducing the love of her life to her family for the first time, desperate for the young man to ask her father for her hand in marriage. The young man,Jurgen, comes from a wealthier family, so not only for her, but for her family, this is a "step up." However, in the middle of their lunch introduction, Eva is called away to her job. She is a Polish interpreter mostly civil matters however, she has been pulled away to assist in a war crime matter regarding a prisoner at Auschwitz.

This is right up my alley as I love historical fiction & legal dramas. The German House is going on my TBR list.
