Wow. I was completely enthralled with this first impression and wanted to continue the story when this excerpt ended. This prolific and harrowing time in history has always drawn me in. I've always been puzzled by the sheer number of souls that were heartlessly eliminated and by the acceptance of those who carried out the slaughter. I was stirred by the writing and really enjoyed the unique POV transitions. I definitely want to read this book in its entirety, therefore I'm using my points to claim a physical copy!
