What I liked about this book right from the start how anxious you feel for Eva. Outside in the cold waiting for “the love of her life “ to arrive to meet her family. In the midst of all that is the smell from a fire that could be heartbreaking to some families! Then she is summoned by her boss to leave her precious dinner to go transcribe notes with some seedy people.
