I really liked how the author kept the story moving from one aspect to another. What seems like a normal family with a daughter anticipating a proposal jumps to interviews with commanders of concentration camps at Auschwitz. Eva has a divided life and I can't wait to find out which path she chooses, that of a pampered housewife, or of a translator for war crime trials.
