I am obsessed with historical fiction or non-fiction involving the time period of World War Two, and I thought I knew just about everything there is to know. The German House brings about an era after the war into the Frankfurt Auschwitz Trials in 1963, which is a much less-traveled historical (and historical fiction) path but one that deserves attention. I'm delighted this part of history is getting a beautiful and well-deserved novel.
