I have read a lot of books written about WW11. I’m intrigued by stories of the camps and especially about surviving the extreme brutality. It sometimes feels like a morbid curiosity but it’s really about trying to understand. This book presents a different angle. A German girl translating during a trial of war criminals. I’m interested in continuing to read how she deals with a realty that has been swept under the rug by many Germans. A different perspective for me
