When I read the excerpt and wrote my first impression I was excited to read more. I had high hopes for this book. With that being said, I think that this book went a little too far into the technical details of things. I would have liked to hear more about the people that were involved and the medical stories. I thought that this book would be a lot more about the "medical mysteries" as it suggested.
I read a lot of science related books and find medicine and the human body very interesting. While I can appreciate what the author was going for, I thought that it could have been better executed so as to attract a wider audience and allow those that don't understand as much of the technical aspects of it to also enjoy the book.
Overall it was hard for me to get through this book, especially with all of the other, more interesting books, I have waiting for me.
