Decently written and interesting - I felt like the text was written in such a way as to draw the reader in and excite their interest, even if they don't have a background in science. I used to be very interested in gene sequencing, and high school me would have jumped at the chance to read this. I have less patience and time for science / nonfiction now that I have a kid, but it would still be pretty interesting.
