I'm predisposed to like this because I love medicine and am a bit of a nerd, but I also think this is written in a way that's accessible to lay reader. I'm not usually a fan of intros that basically summarize what's in each chapter, but since this was a first look, it actually served to pique my interest in the rest of the book. It seems like Ashley will approach this in a way that is both informative and compelling by including patient stories, which is always a plus when reading scientific non-fiction.
