I really loved Autonomous, Newitz's first novel and when I read the preview for this I was even more excited. Time-travel, social commentary and strong relationships? Awesome.

While the recent This Is How You Lose The Time War was a time travel tale from multiple perspectives, that was more a meditation on connection and love and this is more of a well paced reflection on current politics and our own impact on the world.

Tess and Beth find themselves on different ends of an interaction at a concert in 1992 that changes both of their lives in different, but intertwining ways. Beth has a single moment in time that drastically redirects her trajectory. Tess meanwhile is attempting to create a better present in her future through time travel.

It's a fun, thoughtful and timely read. Grab it!
