The cover is simple but captivating and I find the simplicity captivating and enticing. I loved Newitz's Autonomous and enjoy that the cover sticks to a similar aesthetic while being it's own piece of art.

The story it self is a fast grasp for attention and it works. You immediately know that this is a conflict to subtle edit a timeline for preferential influence of the main character's present day. The world they're traveling into is close to our, but different enough to notice (Tim Burton's Wonder Woman Returns anyone?).

I want to know more about the different sects of time travel operatives, their present day, and the rules and mechanics of how it works for them. I'm curious to see how the gender politics are played and displayed as they're a clear theme of the excerpt and will closely influence how strong of a commentary and reflection the book offers of the world it exists in.
