This excerpt is gripping. While the synopsis tells you that it has these two timelines, reading them is an entirely different experience. Like most dystopias, it has that scary feeling, especially as a woman, I feel like they just become even more ominous. Kind of like when I was reading Vox. I can tell that I am going to become hooked - these kind of dystopias are my weak spot!
