Love the Self-Reflection in this Main Character

From the very first sentences, I love how introspective and self-reflective this main character is. The author treats the character's time travel to 1992 as an opportunity to reflect on how nostalgia and rosy-retrospection don't really tell us the truth about how things actually were in the past, and I find the honesty about the brokenness that has always been a part of our world really touching. I look forward to reading more of this story, and the social commentary that will accompany it!
