Feminist Science-Fiction? I’m on board!
The first two chapters provided give a good teaser as to where the book is probably going, and leaves me wanting to pre-order it and time travel to release date.
Something that I appreciated is that though it is a book that will focus heavily on time-travel, the first two chapters aren’t science heavy. Instead, they lay the groundwork for relating to both main characters while also boldly advertising that the text will deal with feminist themes.
Also, I appreciated that while a law is broken in chapter two, Beth is more concerned about what seems to be an abusive parent - something that isn’t really talked about much in literature - and I want to see where that goes.
