Alex Michaelides sure knows how to write a great psychological thriller! This twisty and intense tale of murder was hard to put down. The story takes place on a private Greek island where friends become suspicious and revenge is a good idea. As much as I hate to admit it I liked the main character, Elliot, and his well thought out plot. As the narrator he goes into detail about his love for Lana, an ex-movie star, and his lack of love as a child. The story is written in five acts and the last act tied everything together. What a creative way to write a creepy, dark and captivating story! The title of the book, The Fury, is so appropriate as is the big eyeball on the front of the jacket. I think this is one book that reviews should be ignored and it’s best to go into it completely unaware of the plot. Give this book a chance and keep an open mind. I found this book entirely different from any other thrillers. Very clever!
