Former movie star Lana Farrar invites her close friends to join her on her private island in Greece. The secluded island is prone to dangerously high winds referred to as the fury. During their time on the island, a murder occurs. Elliott Chase, Lana’s close friend and guest on the island, narrates through backstory, motives and a series of twists leading up to the fateful event.

The glamour of a former movie star and a private island attracted me to this book. The story was suspenseful as Lana’s friends Elliott and Kate, Lana’s son Leo, Lana’s husband Jason and the island’s caretaker Nikos could all be considered suspects. The twists throughout the book were surprising as more information about the characters' relationships was revealed.
Unfortunately, I did not find any of the characters to be likable and the ending was confusing.

Fans of closed door mysteries and unreliable narrators may enjoy this book.
