When I first started the book I wasn't sure what I was expecting but it definitely was not what I got, which is not a bad thing. This wasn't my favorite book of the year but it also wasn't my favorite. The writing is extremely impressive and the concept was nice but the end result almost felt anticlimactic. Having the narrator be a killer was nowhere near what I thought would happen. I was thinking it was going to be more on the lines of like the narrator solving the mystery. What was also crazy was how they created this whole plot to convince her husband that she was dead because he was cheating on her. Like who ever thinks about doing that. The narrator was such an interesting character, especially once you realize that he is in love with the woman he kills, and he kills the lady that took him after he left his home. I am interested in reading other books by this author just to see if he maintains this interesting type of writing where the characters are kind of unlikable.
