unreliable narrator
The Fury is by author Alex Michaelides, who also wrote The Silent Patient and The Maidens. I read the Silent Patient after seeing it really hyped on booktok. It was good but felt like it wasn't as good as people said. The Fury was more of a fun read to me than the Silent Patient, but felt less in depth character-wise. It's another adult thriller/mystery with a cool setting - a private greek island. A reclusive ex movie star and her favorite friends take a trip there, and someone ends up murdered. This was also compared to Daisy Jones and the Six, I don't really the comparison. The main perspective is Elliot's, and he is an unreliable narrator which is what made this book so fun. An unreliable narrator is a narrator in this case that seemingly unknowingly is misleading/not telling the full truth. At about three hundred pages, it's quick to find out the truth.
