This was my first time reading this author. I've heard about the silent patient but never got around to reading it so I was definitely looking forward to trying out this one. The cover is a little disturbing and not that appealing to me, unfortunately. Besides all that the story itself was very intriguing. A mysterious island, rich famous people and of course a mysterious murder. a few chapters into the story I was hooked into what is actually happening and how are these people involved. The fury picks up the pace as I got more into the book however I still never really felt a connection to the main characters. The setting was cool and the idea of the murder was neat but it just didn't really click all the way with me . I don't think this author is for me or perhaps it's just the genre that didn't really work. I'm not much of a mystery person so that might have been the issue
