This book was probably my most anticipated release for 2024. The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides is my favorite book of all time, so when it was announced that he had a new book releasing in 2024 I was beyond excited to read it.
The Fury is written through the narration of Elliot Chase who tells you to pull up a bar stool and grab a drink because boy does he have a tale for you. This is a tale of murder, love, and lies that will leave you surprised until the very end.
Chances are, you’ve seen this story line before. The group of friends goes to a remote island, somebody is murdered, and we spend the book trying to figure out who did it. However, this story isn’t so cut and dry, and it’s a must read for anyone who loves a good murder mystery.
Alex Michaelides knows how to write an interesting story but this plot line is over done in my opinion. I thought i loved it because i really like the author, but in the end was slightly disappointed.
