"The Fury" by Alex Michaelides is a captivating murder mystery that takes a unique approach by presenting the story from the point of view of Elliott Chase, as if it were a play. With its intriguing premise and skillful execution, this novel kept me turning pages from beginning to end, earning it a well-deserved 4-star rating.

The story revolves around a former Hollywood movie star who invites her friends to her private Greek island for an Easter getaway. As Elliott Chase narrates the events of the weekend, the tension builds and takes a dark turn when a murder occurs. Michaelides expertly weaves together the elements of a murder mystery and the structure of a play, creating a compelling and suspenseful narrative.
"The Fury" can be considered a "locked room" type of book. The element of a confined setting (the island) and a limited pool of suspects enhances the mystery and keeps readers engaged as they try to unravel the truth behind the murder while deciding if Elliott Chase is a reliable narrator or not!
