I enjoyed reading The Silent Patient quite a lot so I was excited to read The Fury. Too bad it ended up being pretty disappointing. It was so slow and wordy, it took forever to start getting somewhere and even just to introduce all the characters. Also a lot of it felt so similar to existing murder mysteries. The thing that came to mind the most for me was the movie ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery’. There were also many similarities to his first book, The Silent Patient, in regards to the character psychology and the unreliable and unhinged narrator twist. Though the ending was unexpected for the most part, the rest of the book was not much fun to read. I really wanted to like this book and was very excited to read it, but I think it could've been much better. The style of writing was interesting in regards to making the story fan out like a play, but it was too slow in my opinion.
