Alex Michaelides could re-write the dictionary, and I would read it. Since his first book, The Silent Patient, I have been a fan. The Fury is an Agatha Christie-type whodunit on an island with a limited number of characters and one dead body. Everyone in this book is not who or what you think, and the secrets, lies, and duplicity are outrageous. The first half of the book was a tad slow, although kudos for the short chapters, which I like. The last half moved quickly, but I was left unsatisfied. I don't have to like the characters, but there were none in this book that I remotely cared about. The Fury is an easy read but just okay. I'm still looking for the "high" I received from The Silent Patient. This wasn't it.
