The Fury is a murder mystery that takes place on an isolated island and told in five acts, similar to a play. I had mixed feelings about this. I wanted to really like the book but I didn't like any of the characters particularly the narrator. The narrator keeps saying we're going to be surprised and shocked but the pace was too slow for me to stay interested. I think I would have liked this more had it been told differently or by another narrator. There were some surprises and turns but most of them had me rolling my eyes. I did like the small nods in the epilogue to The Maidens and The Silent Patient. I read this with a group of friends and they seemed to like it more than I did so it could totally be me. I am on the cynical side. I did wind up liking the final ending and what was actually going on. I am still a fan and will gladly pick up another book by this author.
