So I can see I am very much in the minority here, but I did not enjoy The Fury. I appreciate the author's writing, but looking back I wish I would have DNFed this book when I was tempted to around 25% complete.

I have never read a book like this before where the narrator is speaking directly to the audience (I have since learned this is what "Breaking the Fourth Wall" means.) Also, the unique writing style of the narrator presenting several different outcomes for the story was distracting to me. I found myself having to reread and saying "Ok, so what actually happened?" Also, the style of jumping time lines with multiple character inputs lead me to struggling with the overall story. Throughout all the multiple time jumps, I realized that I actually new very little about the characters beyond a various surface view that the unreliable narrator Elliott Chase provides.

Overall, am I cerebral enough to read and enjoy this one? Obviously not! and that's totally ok. Hope others enjoy!
