I absolutely loved this one - fans of The Silent Patient will not be disappointed in the latest from Alex Michaelides. This book was riveting, fast-paced, and impossible to put down.
One of my favorite parts of this novel was the author's incredible use of setting. The descriptions of the surroundings were so rich and well developed, that they really acted as an additional character at play.
The novel was also incredibly fast-paced and impossible to put down. I remember this from his other works as well, but he writes very brief chapters with just enough information and often a well placed final line to make you say to yourself "just one more chapter" - I said that to myself countless times while reading.
Each of the characters were larger than life, but I think what stuck out to me the most was that in each of them as a reader I was still able to find so many recognizable qualities in them. I cannot recommend this one enough!
