This book kept me on my toes the entire time. Also, I feel bad for Marianna, everyone in her life goes crazy and ends up in a mental facility. Lana and the gang's stories were all so interesting and seeing how they interacted but also coming from the very fucked up mind of Elliot was an interesting thing to read because, unlike the Silent Patient, you could tell pretty much around fifty percent of the book that Elliot was unhinged and crazy. It was just in the ways he talked about everyone that really didn't hide his psychotic mind and unhinged ways to anyone who reads it.
Alex Michaelides is good at confusing people until the end. I did figure out at around sixty percent of the book that it would be set up more like The Silent Patient because the narrator is the one who is nuts.
All in all, I loved this book and will continue to read any books Michaelides writes.
