I haven't read anything by this author before, but I will be doing so now! Exciting from the get go - I was dismayed that the excerpt was so short! The description of the wind on the island the night of the murder made me feel that I was there, too. The cover is sort of weird. Maybe once I read the book I'll understand it and like it better.
