At first glance this definitely sounds like something we’ve seen before. I know you kind of have to reuse tropes, etc, but at this point it would have to be VERY interesting to stand out among its contemporaries. Maybe I’m biased because I’m in the minority and did not love The Silent Patient. I will say the marketing has been good so far, the cover is certainly eye catching, and the synopsis has general appeal.
