In his opening, Michaelides sets a murder on a Greek island, swept by a ferocious wind. You already know the where and the how of the murder, but who fired the shots and what events led to the murder. The narrator is a playwright, used to dealing with developing characters and their motivations. His narrative allows you to feel that he is speaking directly to you and I found myself hanging on his every word. The cover artwork is stunning, with vibrant colors that draw your attention. I devoured Michaelides past novels and eagerly await The Fury.
