This First Impression is quite short, more of a teaser. The writing puts us, the readers, in the story, with the narrator talking directly to us. I'm on the fence about this approach. I prefer a more immersive story, where I'm experiencing everything alongside the characters, but I'm not being placed there as part of the story. The cover is interesting, though I don't love it.
