Alex Michaelides is a hit or miss author for me, loved The Silent Patient and wasn't super crazy for The Maidens but what he consistently does well in my opinion is his writing. Easy to read, gripping and engaging, even when the plot doesn't necessarily grab me right away. I think this is going to appeal to people who don't mind a bit of a slower thriller which is something I don't mind at all! I do plan on reading this one once it is released and am excited to see where this falls in terms of my enjoyment of Alex Michaelides!
