I’ve seen this book cover on instagram lately, it feels like people are excited by this book and this author but I wasn’t familiar with either yet. I was glad to see the excerpt on BookishFirst to see what it’s all about. I feel like this will be an interesting story (probably with an unreliable narrator). A group of people is at a celebrity’s home on a private island when someone is killed. This intro promises that this book isn’t just a whodunit it’s also a whydunit, it will dig into why the killer did what they did. I liked the friendly, personal talking style of the main character. It’s like the story is being shared between two people. I hope I win this one.
