When I read the first look of this book, I was hooked. I am a huge fan of the mystery/thriller genre and this sounded right up my alley. Unfortunately, it was a miss for me. The synopsis had a real chance at being an amazing thriller, but I don't think it was executed the right way. For one, the main character was so unlikeable. I found it hard to get into the story because of how much I hated the character. The story is written in the third person, but at times it would switch to the main character's thoughts which I found confusing to follow. The biggest disappointment was when it felt like a big turning point was coming, but then it never came. The story did start off strong, and honestly quite creepy, but as it progressed it became less exciting. Even with that, there was something that drove me to keep reading. I think this book would be good for someone that wants to get into the thriller genre, but for someone that is huge into thriller (like me), this may be a bit of a let down.
