Who would have thought I Lincoln Continental could be ominous but through out this book I found myself seeing them on the road and wondering.... how do we really know who's watching us, why, and what they're going to do with the information once they have it.
From the moment Clare hears of the death of her friend Gavin she feels the world has shifted, it's not enough that's she's moved home to take care of her grandmother, and is almost running away from a relationship, no, death has to come and pay a visit.
Speaking of visits, finding out that police officer that showed up on her doorstep, the one that she couldn't quite figure out, well it turns out there's a lot to figure out with that one, starting with why he lied about being a police officer but you'll have to read the book to get all the details on that.
This one really felt like there were similarities to Hitchcock and Christie and I loved ever moment of it, it's so hard to write this review and not give everything away.
I loved this book and cannot wait to read another by Diamond, his story telling is masterful, the perfect blend of authenticity and suspense, it was fantastic.
