I really enjoyed this book. It's suspenseful & exciting, as all good dramatic thrillers would be. I enjoyed the first half of the book more than the second half, but it was well-written, good overall & it was fun to get pulled along by the mystery. The pharmaceutical aspect was something I had never encountered before & it was really interesting to me.
I found Claire supremely unlikeable. While I sympathized with her emotional trauma, she was not at all an easy read. I think some of her actions make sense in light of this trauma, but her innate personality grated on me & I just could not enjoy her as a character.
The ending surprised me. It was not at all what I expected, but I was definitely not disappointed.
