The plot itself was interesting, but I really couldn't stand the main character (MC). She was way too stubborn and misses the obvious things. Paranoia usually makes people hyper-vigilent, and instead she went the other way: reckless obliviousness. Overall her woe-is-me, all men are assholes shtick just got old very quickly.

I'm not fond of present tense narration, but it didn't really bother me here. The author has a very smooth story-telling style that made it easy to digest, even if I just wanted to smack the MC upside her head.

As far as other characters go, you don't get much of them and what little you do learn is all from MC's POV. so things are very skewed.

What I did like was that the author didn't tie everything up into a neat little package. The ending is very open ended. Not sure if this is supposed to be the beginning of a series or not, but if so it made sense.
