Suspenseful and fast-paced, this promises to be a darkly threatening crime novel. I'm not sure sure it's for me, exactly, as I am a pretty reluctant reader of thrillers, so I'm hesitant to criticize it too deeply. My first impression is that this will be a book that leans heavily on cinematic dialog and quick descriptions. I hope that the gender roles it explores are deeper than they seem in the first few pages! An exciting take on a DC novel.
