I'm not familiar with Andrew Diamond's other works, but apparently he is a very popular (and prolific) thriller writer with six titles under his belt. The Friday Cage is his latest novel, which follows the mysterious Claire who is being hunted down by an obsessive stalker. Diamond's writing is straightforward and easy to read; however, I feel like his descriptions and treatment of Claire fall into the pitfalls of "men writing women" in which the female characters are overly sexualized and the men around her can't help but objectify her. The first chapter was not enough to hold my interest but your mileage may vary.
