So far we know that Claire had one friend, Gavin, who is now dead. And she was apparently in a long term relationship that she recently ended. So, it would seem that there are things to like about Claire, but I have to say, they're tough to see.
I love a strong female lead. I've been in many professional situations where I've been disregarded, not taken seriously, and once, outright laughed at, because of my age, sex, and appearance, so I am always drawn to stories of women who both experience these struggles and find ways to overcome them. I've also been called (paraphrasing) prickly, as I would suspect Claire has as well. I see aspects of myself in her demeanor, but at the same time, I'm struggling to like her after just reading the First Look.
Obviously there's a lot more going on, with a possible stalker, a friend whose death was sudden and perhaps mysterious, and an ailing grandmother who taught her that weakness is unacceptable. I can't wait to "get to know" Claire and see where this takes her.
