I love a good mystery/crime novel, but I found the beginning of this one to be so slow. While I realize opening chapters need to unfold somewhat slowly to establish character and not overwhelm the ready with too much at once, I do think a thriller needs to have an opening that grabs you to some extent. I also don't really love the cover, which probably didn't help to keep my interest. Hopefully this one works better for other readers.
